What makes a page strong for local search
Google needs to understand what you do, where you do it and how to contact you. Pages that rank in the local results usually say the service and city clearly in the title and main heading, show the phone number and address, make the number tappable on phones, and back it all up with LocalBusiness structured data that matches the Google Business Profile.
None of that needs a big budget. It is mostly about being clear and consistent, which is exactly what this checker looks for.
Questions
What does the Local SEO Checker look at?
About 30 things that matter for local search: the basics (HTTPS, mobile, indexing), on-page SEO (title, description, headings, content), local signals (LocalBusiness schema, phone, click-to-call, address, opening hours, Google Maps, matching name and phone), relevance to your city and service, and technical basics like speed, robots.txt and the sitemap.
Is the score the same as my Google ranking?
No. The score measures how well the page itself is set up for local search. Rankings also depend on your Google Business Profile, reviews, links, competitors and where the searcher is. A strong page is the part you fully control.
Why did my page score low on content when it has plenty?
The checker reads the page's HTML as it is delivered. Sites that load all their text with JavaScript can look empty to it, and sometimes to search engines too. If that is your site, ask your developer whether the content is visible without JavaScript.
Do you store my page or my data?
No sign-up and no account. We fetch the page once to analyse it and do not keep a copy. Results are cached for 10 minutes so repeat checks are fast, and visitor addresses are only held in memory to enforce the free limits.
How many checks can I run?
Up to 10 checks per hour and 30 per day for free. Checking the same page again within 10 minutes doesn't count.
Can agencies use this for client sites?
Yes. The printable report carries no third-party branding, so you can save it as a PDF and share it with clients. The code is open source under the MIT licence if you want to run your own copy.
